Little Rock Rangers Soccer Club/Memphis City FC
to meet in I-40 Cup
February 10, 2016

The Little Rock Rangers Soccer Club, along with Memphis City FC are happy to announce an annual home and away derby called the I-40 Cup. Local pride is on the line as these two great cities of the South collide on the soccer pitch and do battle for the I-40 Cup.

The derby between the two teams will take place one weekend a year in a European Champions League format. Meaning that the I-40 Cup will be scored on aggregate goals over both matches. If the aggregate score is tied after the two legs, the away goals rule will come into effect, the team who scored more away goals wins. If away goals are equal, then the tie will be decided by extra time, then penalty shootout if necessary.

The inaugural I-40 cup will be played the weekend of April 22-24. The first leg will be hosted in Little Rock’s War Memorial Stadium on 4/22 at 7:00PM. The second leg, where the trophy will be awarded, will be played in Memphis at the Mike Rose Soccer Complex Stadium on 4/24 at 6:00.
