LITTLE ROCK, AR –
The Little Rock Rangers defeated Rafters FC by a final score of 1-0 in friendly competition Friday night.
The lone goal of the game came in the 40th minute from Alejandro Moquete. Rangers midfielder Josh Reed lobbed a ball over a defender and to the feet of Moquete. Moquete then controlled the ball and shot to the left of the goalkeeper and into the back of the net.
The Rangers controlled possession for the majority of the game. That paired with a solid defensive performance and a clean sheet from goalkeeper Carlos Herrera ensured the Rangers a victory.
There were an estimated 2,000 fans in attendance at War Memorial Stadium.
The Rangers’ next game will be played against Rafters FC on Saturday, April 22. The game will begin at 7 p.m., in Shreveport, La.
The Rangers’ next home game will be the second leg of the I-40 Cup against Memphis City FC. That game will be played on Sunday, April 30 at 5 p.m.
