In front of a large crowd, TJ Rodriguez put the Little Rock Rangers up for good when he scored a penalty kick in the 85th minute. The goal was the Rangers' second of the night as they scored two compared to Memphis FC's one, to put them ahead in the aggregate i40 cup.
The Rangers got the scoring going early when Ferdinand Matebu scored the first goal in the history of the Rangers franchise, when he scored in the 12th minute. The score remained tied until the 63rd minute when Blake Lashlee knotted the game at 1 for Memphis. It remained tied until Rodriguez's penalty kick put the Rangers up for good.
The Rangers and Memphis FC will face off in the 2nd leg of the i40 Cup on Sunday at 6pm at the Mike Ross Soccer Complex in Memphis, Tennessee.
